Brian Hillman is the founder of Hillman & Associates and a highly experienced Solicitor and Notary Public.

​With over 40 years of practice in commercial law, property law, international law, and migration matters, Brian has built a reputation as a trusted legal adviser in the Australian legal industry.

​

​Brian started his career as legal counsel for the Australian Attorney General's Department in the 1970s, working in various aspects of administrative law. He then went on to a role as corporate in-house legal counsel.

​

Since 1982, Brian has operated law firms in Sydney, Australia either alone or in collaboration with partners, and has successfully represented numerous clients in complex legal matters.

​

​As a fluent English and French speaker, Brian has been actively involved with the French authorities and in the French community in Australia. He continues with his 40 year commitment to the Alliance Française of Sydney, having served during that time, as its President for 13 years.

​

His deep understanding of the French language and culture has enabled him to assist both local and international clients with their legal needs.

​

​In addition to his legal practice, Brian has also lectured at the University of New South Wales in 2001, demonstrating his enthusiasm to sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of legal professionals and learning from interacting with them.
